Please be aware that juniors who attend the Windham Regional Career Center will participate in NECAP testing at Leland and Gray. However, they will have a different schedule.

Parents/guardians also play a role in students’ success. The attitudes of parents, teachers, and administrators toward serious exams such as this make a tremendous difference on students’ motivation to demonstrate their mastery over the subject. Their teachers will reduce homework and refrain from giving tests during the three NECAP days so that students are ready to concentrate on the test questions.  Please be sure that your student gets plenty of sleep the previous nights.

Please avoid scheduling any appointments on NECAP testing days. If your student is absent due to illness during testing, makeup exams will be held on May 19, 22 and/or May 23.  If you already know that your child will be absent during one or more of these days, contact Terry Davison-Berger in the main office right away.

Please feel free to contact me about NECAP general testing procedures at 365-7355 ext. 133. For questions about testing accommodations for special education, contact your student’s case manager. Thank you for all your support of our students’ achievement.

Sincerely,

Bob Thibault, Principal
