Players and Friends New York City Trip

Ann Landenberger

LG-Players-NYC-smNew York - A group of 27 parents and students joined Leland and Gray Players' staff Annie Landenberger and Abby Wicker for a day in New York City on June 1.  The highlight was seeing Pippin', a wonderful revival of the popular, intriguing 1970s Broadway hit.  Other activities including walking the High Line, gathering dinner at Chelsea Market, oogling the displays at FAO Schwartz and Tiffany & Co. (where a Great Gatsby exhibit window is graced by the beautiful work of the Valley's own glass artist and parent of Luc '18, Robert DuGrenier), strolling through Rockefeller Center, elbowing through Drama Book Shop with fellow theatre buffs and admiring one of the world's most beautiful cathedrals, St. Patrick's.  Sorry you missed it? No worries: The Players hope to do a Broadway trip each spring.
